An Israeli drone crashed inside Syria yesterday due to a “technical malfunction,” the military says, adding that there is no risk of intelligence being taken from it.
The small Skylark-model drone was performing “routine activities” at the time, the Israel Defense Forces says. Many of these comparatively inexpensive unmanned aerial vehicles, which are used primarily for reconnaissance missions, have crashed in enemy territory over the years.
The IDF says it is investigating the incident.
