Sunday, 15 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 36,736 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Sunday that 36,736 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“36,736 COVID-19 infections and 620 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to more than 4,425,821.”
The spokesperson went on to say that “620 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 97,828.”
“7,323 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 3,728,940 have already gained recovery,” ministry added while announcing that “4,272 patients have been hospitalized.”
The health ministry public relations warned that 359 cities are rated red, 59 cities are orange, and 30 cities are yellow.
The Iranian Health Ministry also announced that so far 27,177,565 COVID-19 tests have been taken throughout the country.
According to the latest figures, more than 207,731,370 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 4,371,692 and recoveries amounting to 186,218,141.
