Sunday, 15 August 2021 (YJC)_The Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements considered the provision of Israeli facilities in the Gaza Strip insufficient and stressed the need to fully lift the siege of Gaza.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad: The promised facilities are not enough for GazaHamas spokesman Hazem Qasim stressed that there were many contacts with the mediators of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza to force Israel to completely lift the siege of Gaza.

"The facilities that the occupying regime is talking about for the Gaza Strip are not enough, but these are the only measures that do not correspond to our desire to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza," Qasim said.

He added that we have been in contact with mediators, especially our brothers in Egypt, to lift the siege of Gaza and all Israeli-imposed measures since May.

According to the Palestinian news agency Shahab, Tariq Salmi, spokesman for the Islamic Jihad movement, also stressed that the occupying regime's terrorism and aggression, including the siege and obstruction of Gaza, are in line with the regime's efforts to cover up the security and military defeat from the Palestinian people.

He said that the escalation of the siege of Gaza is a terrorism that we will never surrender to but will confront, and that the resistance will never allow the occupying regime to use the siege as a means to cover up its defeats.
