Sunday, 15 August 2021 (YJC)_A Taliban spokesman said most Afghan cities had surrendered to the group without a fight.

Taliban: Most cities surrendered to us without a fightIn an interview with Arabi21, Mohammad Naeem, a spokesman for the Taliban's political bureau, said that the group's expansion in Afghanistan over the past few days had been largely non-violent.

He denied reports that a large number of Taliban forces had been killed during the takeover of various cities and provincial capitals.

Naeem also announced the joining of thousands of people to the Taliban and its dialogue with various parties, saying that the goal is for the Afghan people to decide on their future and that there should be an independent Islamic system that works to resolve the people's problems.

He blamed the Afghan government for the recent events in Afghanistan and stressed: "These events were started by the Kabul government and they declared war on the second day of Eid, while we stopped military operations and released hundreds of prisoners".
