A former senior Indian diplomat has praised the election of Hossein Amir Abdollahian by the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hojatoleslam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi, to the post of Foreign Minister of Iran.
"Some idiots do not realize that the first priority of Hojatoleslam Raeisi is the neighboring Arabs," Badra Kumar, the former Indian ambassador to Turkey and Uzbekistan, tweeted. He has repeatedly made this clear. "The president has chosen a foreign minister who has the extraordinary power to do this challenging task, which is very important for the security of the Persian Gulf."
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Special Assistant to the Speaker for International Affairs and former Deputy Foreign Minister, is the proposed candidate for Hojatoleslam Sayyed Ebrahim Raeisi to run the 13th government's diplomatic apparatus.
