Saturday, 14 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that total coronavirus cases in the country has so far reached 4,389,085.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Saturday that 29,700 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“29,700 COVID-19 infections and 466 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to more than 4,389,085.”
The spokesperson went on to say that “466 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 97,208.”
“7,252 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 3,700,828 have already gained recovery,” ministry added while announcing that “4,154 patients have been hospitalized.”
The health ministry public relations warned that 359 cities are rated red, 59 cities are orange, and 30 cities are yellow.
The Iranian Health Ministry also announced that so far 27,078,261 COVID-19 tests have been taken throughout the country.
