Saturday, 14 August 2021 (YJC)_Several robbers stole a number of luxury watches and other valuables after entering the aristocratic mansion of the Emir of Qatar in France.
The aristocratic mansion of Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, was looted near the French city of Cannes.
According to AFP, several robbers, one of whom was armed, entered the mansion on Thursday night and stole a number of luxury watches and several other valuables.
The Emir of Qatar was not in the mansion at the time of the robbery, but some of his family members were present, the news agency reported. However, no one was injured in the robbery.
According to RTL radio, the number of thieves was four who entered it through the fences around the mansion. The local public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the theft.
The family of the Emir of Qatar, who has resigned in favor of his son since 2013, has owned the 30-hectare mansion since the 1990s.
