Friday, 13 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed the concern of the Islamic Republic of Iran about the escalation of violence in Afghanistan and called for attention to be paid to the protection of the lives of innocent people and civilians in the current situation.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also stressed the Taliban's dominance over the city of Herat, their serious concern in ensuring the complete safety and health of diplomats and diplomatic facilities.
In the end, Khatibzadeh informed about the continuous communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat and following up on the health condition of the colleagues stationed in that mission.
