Friday, 13 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Assistant to Iranian Foreign Minister said: "Iranian diplomats in Herat are in perfect health and safety."
"Many reporters call me and ask about the health of our diplomats in Herat," Seyyed Rasoul Mousavi wrote on his Twitter page on Friday about the situation of Iranian diplomats in Herat, which was ousted by the Taliban yesterday. He asserted: "Sorry I can not answer each of their questions. Our diplomats, like the diplomats of the other three countries in Herat, are in perfect health and have no worries."
Seyyed Rasoul Mousavi wrote on his Twitter page this morning: "The administration of Herat has been handed over to the forces of the Islamic Emirate. The Consulate General, diplomats and staff of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran are inside the building. I am in regular contact with them. The city administration is committed to the full security of the consulate general, its diplomats and staff."
