Thursday, 12 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 39,049 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Thursday that 39,049 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“39,049 COVID-19 infections and 568 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to more than 44,320,266.”
The spokesperson went on to say that “568 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 95,215.”
“7,048 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 3,647,016 have already gained recovery,” ministry added while announcing that “4,938 patients have been hospitalized.”
The health ministry public relations warned that 336 cities are rated red, 84 cities are orange, and 28 cities are yellow.
The Iranian Health Ministry also announced that so far 26,889,997 COVID-19 tests have been taken throughout the country.
According to the latest figures, more than 205,741,240 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 4,341,608 and recoveries amounting to 184,729,728.
