Al-Hashd al-Shaabi leader Falih al-Fayyadh met with Masoud Barzani, leader of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party, in Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, last night (Wednesday).
The two sides discussed the need for coordination between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi military for security and stability in the country.
Barzani and Falih al-Fayyadh also reviewed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region, as well as the threats and movements of ISIL terrorists.
The meeting of Falih al-Fayyadh and the leader of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is in the time that the Al-Aqd al-Watani electoral coalition was recently formed under the leadership of al-Fayyadh and attended by several Shiite and Sunni parties, and coalition representatives have consulted with most Iraqi groups, including Kurds to encourage them to join the coalition.
