Wednesday, 11 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 42,541 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Wednesday that 42,541 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“42,541 COVID-19 infections and 536 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to more than 4,281,217.”
The spokesperson went on to say that “536 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 95,647.”
“6,932people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 3,618,224have already gained recovery,” ministry added while announcing that “4,865 patients have been hospitalized.”
The health ministry public relations warned that 336 cities are rated red, 84 cities are orange, and 28 cities are yellow.
the Iranian Health Ministry also announced that so far 26,790,150 COVID-19 tests have been taken throughout the country.
According to the latest figures, more than 205,015,715 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 4,331,401 and recoveries amounting to 184,123,010.
