Tuesday, 10 August 2021 (YJC)_ Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps warned Israel not to shorten its life by making wrong moves against Iran.
During his remarks during a meeting of media companions held at the venue of Conference Hall of IRGC on the occasion of National Journalists’ Day Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Salami warned Israel not to shorten its life by making wrong moves against Iran.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is waiting a wrong move by Zionist regime to destroy it completely,” he said while emphasizing on the key role of journalists and media in the contemporary world and said “Using effective methods to express facts in order to confront the enemy’s media war is vital.”
Tensions have simmered in the region after a suspected drone attack last week on an Israeli-managed tanker off the Omani coast killed two crew members and was blamed on Iran by the US, Israel and Britain, without any evidence.
The US said Sunday that it would work with their allies to respond to the alleged attack. Iran repeatedly denied any involvement in the attack.
Previously, on Sunday the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh warned Iran’s enemies to avoid retesting the country and said the country will have harsh response to any threats.
Also, last Wednesday, Tehran wrote to the United Nations Security Council and warned them about recent suspicious attempts to create artificial maritime “incidents” in the Persian Gulf and the broader region, urging a swift end to such “irresponsible acts” that harm the region’s peace.
