"Russia, along with China, is trying to convince the world of the decline of the United States," said Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. These two countries are trying to convince the world that it is better to connect their future with their global perspective than American democracy.
At the same time, Blinken acknowledged that rivals have somewhat narrowed the space for the United States on the world stage. He called for a special budget for "internal revival" so that Washington could maintain its global supremacy.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the United States was trying to regain its former position and the position it once held for itself with the help of sanctions.
Zakharova said that right now, Washington is not even trying to find facts that it can use as a basis for imposing sanctions on Moscow. If the United States deems it necessary, it will continue to distort international law, bilateral agreements and unilaterally withdraw from them, and so on.
