The Zionist newspaper Haaretz quoted the security company FireEye as claiming that dozens of websites affiliated with the regime's public and private companies had been hacked by China.
According to the report, the purpose of these attacks, which started in 2019 and lasted for two years, was to obtain information about the mentioned companies.
"This is the largest and most widespread cyber attack on Zionist websites ever observed," Haaretz quoted FireEye Company.
According to FireEye, "Chinese cyberattacks" have targeted Israeli naval companies and ships, high-tech companies, communications, security and academia, and technology companies.
The company stressed that the hackers were looking to steal information and trade secrets, and that the cyber attack focused on hacking emails, stealing confidential documents and the like.
