Sunday, 8 August 2021 (YJC)_ Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to Vienna said the country demand for annihilation of all nuclear weapons.
In a message on his twitter account on the occasion of the anniversary of the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Vienna-based International Organizations Kazem Gharibabadi said the country demand for annihilation of all nuclear weapons.
“Yesterday marked 76th anniversary of atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which killed up to 226000 civilians. That was genocide and crimes against humanity,” he wrote while adding that “The US is the first who used nuclear weapons, still develops its arsenal, and even threatens others to their use.”
Finally, he underlined “To have a safe and secure world, nuclear weapons should be destroyed totally.”
Hiroshima marked the 76th anniversary of its atomic bombing by the US on Friday, with its mayor urging world leaders to shift away from nuclear deterrence to trust-building dialogue and for Japan to join a UN treaty to ban nuclear weapons.
