Afghan Defense Ministry spokesman Fawad Aman said Saturday that Afghan security forces had killed 385 Taliban members and wounded 210 others across Afghanistan over the past 24 hours.
Aman added: As a result of the operations of Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours in Nangarhar, Logar, Ghazni, Paktika, Wardak, Kandahar, Herat, Farah, Jawzjan, Samangan, Helmand, Takhar, Baghlan and Kapisa provinces, 385 people Taliban members were killed and 210 others were wounded.
The security situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated over the past few weeks following the irresponsible withdrawal of the United States, and Taliban forces are advancing in various parts of the country. Recently, the city of Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province, fell to Taliban members.
In recent weeks, clashes have broken out in many parts of Afghanistan between the Taliban and government security forces, but the fall of a provincial capital is a major milestone.
