Thursday, 5 August 2021 (YJC)_ The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, who arrived in Tehran to attend the inauguration of Hojatoleslam Raeisi, met with his Iranian counterpart this afternoon and stressed the country's determination to expand relations with Iran.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah, who arrived in Tehran today to attend the inauguration of hojatoleslam Sayyed Ibrahim Raeisi, met with Mohammad Javad Zarif at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon (Thursday).
During the meeting, bilateral relations, the latest developments in the region and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
Congratulating the election of hojatoleslam Raeisi, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister reiterated his country's determination to expand relations and called for further consultations between the two countries on regional and international issues.
Appreciating Zarif's eight-year efforts, Ahmad Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah described the initiatives proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran for regional cooperation in the Persian Gulf as important.
