Tuesday ,3 August 2021 (YJC)_ A spokesman for Iran's customs said that all the country's borders with Afghanistan are active and that Afghan traders are allowed to cross the Iranian border voluntarily.
Customs spokesman Seyyed Ruhollah Latifi said the joint Iranian-Afghan border had been closed for several days, but because the conflict was inside Afghanistan, Iranian organizations and departments based on the border continued to operate in accordance with international conventions and laws. During this period, the borders of Iran and Afghanistan were open.
He added: "Regarding Iran-Afghanistan trade, because the cargo, traders and trucks are all three Afghans, the traders themselves decide whether to cross the border or not; So it's up to the Afghan traders to decide, and we will allow them to cross our borders if the goods documents are complete.
