Tuesday,27 July 2021 (YJC)_ An Iranian official announced that the country has produced 5mln doses of the COV-Iran Barekat vaccine.
Deputy Head of the Headquarters for the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (HEIKO) for Coordination Seyed Mostafa Seyeh Hashemi announced on Tuesday that the country has produced 5mln doses of the COV-Iran Barekat vaccine.
“So far, nearly 5mln doses of COV-Iran Barekat vaccine have been produced in Shafa Farmed plant,” he announced while adding that “all of these vaccines should go under study and finally approved in a 16 to 20-day period of quality control testing.”
He went on to note that “to date, 1.3mln doses have been delivered to the health ministry,” and added “Also, other produced vaccines will be delivered to the ministry on a regular and weekly basis after quality control testing.”
Previously, Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki announced that the .2mln doses of domestic COV-Iran Barekat vaccine will be delivered every week to the health ministry.
