Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has announced his intention to appoint Amir Hayek as the regime's permanent ambassador to the United Arab Emirates.
Hayek is currently the president of the Hoteliers Association in the Occupied Territories. He was previously the Director General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor of the Zionist regime.
"Amir Hayek, highly experienced and knowledgeable in the economic and tourism fields, is a good person to institutionalize the bridge between Israel and the UAE," Lapid said. "After the opening of the embassies, it is time to appoint the first ambassador to the UAE."
Hayek is a political appointee by Lapid and shows that relations between the UAE and the (Israeli) regime are high-level priorities for the State Department.
