"Zionist fighters violated Lebanese sovereignty once again and Syrian territory was again targeted through our airspace, which became their hotbed," the Jabal al-Lebanon and Hezbollah regional command said in a statement, according to Al-Manar. "Even at a time when international organizations and claimants of sovereignty and independence have remained silent."
The statement went on to say that what happened on Tuesday night was the apparent invasion of Lebanese and Syrian territory by Zionist enemy fighters, specifically the two areas of Lahafd in Jabil and Al-Majdal in Al-Kura, part of Hezbollah's heart. There was no killing in these areas, thank God, and the damage was only material.
Hezbollah's northern command, emphasizing that the movement stands with the Lebanese people in the mountainous region of Lafad and all the areas affected by the recent Israeli aggression, called on God Almighty to protect Lebanon from Zionist aggression.
In the final part of the statement, it is also mentioned that the only way to face the Zionist enemy is resistance.
At around 1:13 a.m. on July 22, 2021, Israeli fighter jets fired several missiles at targets in the Syrian province of Homs in northeastern Beirut. Syria has been fired upon and its air defenses have intercepted all four missiles.
News sources reported that one of the rockets fired during the aggression hit Lebanese border areas, damaging some houses and vehicles.
