The Venezuelan state oil company imports half a million barrels of gas condensate daily to combine it with its super-heavy crude oil.
A consignment of gas condensate that Venezuela needs to dilute its heavy crude oil arrived in the country on Wednesday. But the import of gas condensate and the export of crude oil combined with it are currently under US sanctions.
The Panamanian-flagged ship René, which bought the gas condensate for Venezuela, is owned by a shipping company in Fujairah.
