Tehran, YJC. Iran-Russia parliamentary group says the two countries can engage in goods barter and establish joint banking strategies to help reduce the pressure of Western sanctions.

Ramazanali Sobhani Far in interview with ICANA pointed to Western sanctions on Iran
and Russia and said "For being neighbors and for having had long-standing
relations, Russia and the Islamic Republic of Iran can use their characteristic
opportunities under the sanctions in order to benefit each other.”
Asserting that cooperation can enable to two countries to
circumvent sanctions he said "The two countries can barter goods and launch a
money bank in order to facilitate financial transactions.”
In a few meetings that we have with the Duma and the Russian
ambassador, we noticed that the Russia president and the government in general
are really willing to improve cooperation in trade and economy. Using the
opportunity, we can gain a share of the Russia market, Sobhani Far stated.
Noting that the two countries have launched a joint economy
committee headed by the Iranian oil minister he said "The committee convened on
August 8 and 9 attended by a number of Russia tradesmen in Tehran.”
He noted that the two countries will engage in large-volume
trade agreements and expressed hope that the trend will yield good results for
both sides.
