Tehran, YJC. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in a phone conversation discussed current concerns.
In the phone call which was made on Friday evening, the two
leaders discussed the latest regional developments.
Most importantly, the two addressed current state of affairs
in Iraq and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) atrocities in the
region.
Rouhani stressed the need for regional leaders to cooperate
in a fight against terrorism as a real threat to the neighbor countries.
"We all have to make continuous effort to prevent the
bloodshed of Muslims, especially in the haram months which we are in,” the Iranian
president stressed.
The Qatari emir for his own part urged efforts to revoke
regional problems and stated that the issue of terrorism goes beyond sectarian
concerns and all sides, from Shiite to Sunni, have to work to cope with it.
