Tuesday, 29 June 2021 (YJC) _ Head of Iran's Passive Defense Organization called for improvement in the country's chemical defense power.
Addressing the Fourth National Conference on Chemical Defense on Tuesday, Head of Iran's Passive Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali called for improvement in the country's chemical defense power.
Calling for affiliated Iranian organizations to do their best for improving the country's chemical defense power, he said “Were those involved in the chemical bombing of Sardasht and Halabja had been sentenced in courts, we would have not been witnessing the use of chemical weapons by countries today.”
He went on to neglect that fact that although human rights and respect for human life are discussed across the world chemical weapons are unfortunately used to secure the interests of the arrogant power and called it as a remark of “International conventions not having deterrent power.”
Elsewhere in his remark Jalali highlighted the fact that It is very important to produce equipment that protects the country against chemical threats and said “We need to have strong industries in this field.”
