Tehran, YJC. Cleric says Cameron’s recent statements against Iran have hardened the path to friendship.

Hossein Ebrahimi, Member of the Combatant Clergy Society, in interview with Nasim said that the UK is a follower of the US and its policies on the Middle East serve those of the latter.

"The UK PM’s statements in the UN after his meeting with Rouhani once more proved that Westerners cannot be trusted,” he asserted.

There’s no end in the West’s enmity with Iran. The enmity is not going to end with meetings. As the Supreme Leader said, these are not trustworthy. It is a surprise how Rouhani advisors allowed such a meeting, the clergyman said.

He added "It would have been wiser if the meeting had been held after both the statesmen had made their speech at the UN General Assembly so that the position of the other country would have grown clear to us. It would have at least prevented the Western side to use the world’s most important tribune to insult the Iranian nation.”

"Right now, no relation with the UK is conceivable which would benefit Iran. If the UK’s plan is to reopen their spy den, it must be fought.”
