Thursday, 17 June 2021 (YJC) _ The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps released a statement in which calls for for huge turnout in Friday presidential election.

IRGC calls for huge turnout in Friday presidential electionThe Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) released a statement and called on the Iranians from all walks of life to take part in the upcoming presidential election.

While describing epic and huge participation of people in election on Friday as "guarantor of dignity, security, authority and prestige of the country in international arena,” the statement said such acts can “easily foil malicious plots waged by enemies against the country.”

“Over the past 42 years in spite of the conspiracies of enemies against Iranian people, the heroic nation of Islamic Iran have never made strategic mistakes and this is vivid specially in critical historical moments with unique and unparalleled presence on the scene,” the statement reads.

It continues to pinpoint the fact that “Election is one of these serious milestones and Iranians have always participated in this important event with passion,” while adding that “This massive presence at the polling stations and have always disappointed enemies.”

Iran will simultaneously hold the 13th presidential election and the 6th City and Village Councils Elections on June 18.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei will cast his ballot tomorrow, Friday (June 18) in the early minutes of voting (at 7:00 AM) at Hosseiniyah of Imam Khomeini (RA) while it will be broadcasted live on IRIB and the Khamenei.ir website and social media pages.
