Tuesday, 1 June 2021 (YJC) _ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 10,687 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
According to the Iranian Health Ministry, 10,687 new COVID-19 infections have been recorded across the country in the past 24 hours.
“10,687 COVID-19 infections due to the disease in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of cases to more than 2,923,823” the spox said.
The spokesperson went on to say that “171 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 80,327.”
“4,064 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 2,477,596 have already gained recovery,” ministry added.
The spokeswoman also said more that more than 19 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.
According to the latest figures, more than 171,540,504 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 3,566,635 and recoveries amounting to 153,861,570.
