Friday, 28 May 2021 (YJC) _ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 10,253 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Wednesday that 10,253 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“10,253 COVID-19 infections and 184 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to more than 2,886,111.”
The spokesperson went on to say that “184 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 79,568.”
“4,383 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while more than 2.4 million have already gained recovery,” ministry added.
“As many as 3,138,333 have received the first doses of the anti-coronavirus vaccine as of today, while the total vaccine jabs have hit 3,637,373,” added the spox.
According to the latest figures, more than 169,710,788 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 3,527,082 and recoveries amounting to 151,448,214.
