According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-Nujaba in Iran, the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement issued a statement condemning the illegal arrest of one of the battlefield commanders of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq’s al-Anbar Governorate by the security forces affiliated with the country’s interim government.
The statement recalled the clear record of Commander Qasim Muslih in the jihad against Daesh and the liberation of the occupied territories saying, “He also turned the Syrian-Iraqi border into a thorn in the side of the Americans and prevented their encroachment on Iraq’s territorial integrity.”
The al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement considered the deceptive approach of the perpetrators of the abduction of this commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces as evidence of the influence of the American occupiers and the Ba’athist-Daesh ideology in political decision-making, which necessitates a reconsideration of calculations.
At the end of this statement, while condemning the reckless action of the wrongdoing system, it was announced, “We strongly support the necessary decisions of the commanders of Popular Mobilization Forces in this regard and we will not allow the country to fall into the trap of the plots of evil governments, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, the Zionist regime, Saud Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.”
As one of the senior commanders of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, Qasem Muslih was opposed to a plan to transfer Daesh elements from Syria into Iraq but was abducted under pressure from the United States embassy – a provocative action that provoked strong protests from the people, Islamic Resistance groups and some political activists.
