Saturday, 22 May 2021 (YJC) _The National Task Force Against Coronavirus announced any in-door elections campaign gatherings are banned.
During his speech on Saturday, Spokesman of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, Dr Alireza Raisi, announced as the number of polling stations will double, any in-door elections campaign gatherings are banned.
“The task force attaches great importance to observing the Covid-19 restrictions, in particular on the day of the upcoming elections,” he said while adding that “guidelines for elections campaigns have already been announced.”
He, moreover, referred to the election meetings and said “Special meetings, which are going to be held on the IRIB, will take place with the attendance of few people and the rest of the election meetings must be held outdoors.”
He went on to note that “During the campaign gatherings outdoors, social distancing and masks are obligatory. There must be eight square meters of space for each person in elections gatherings.”
