Tuesday, 18 May 2021 (YJC) _ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced 13,930 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Tuesday that 13,930 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours.
“13,930 COVID-19 infections and 310 deaths due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to more than 2,799,415.”
The spokesperson went on to say that “310 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll to 76,936.”
“5,173 individuals are experiencing critical conditions while 2,258,046 have already gained recovery.” ministry added.
According to the latest figures, more than 164,372,164 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 3,406,805 and recoveries amounting to 143,170,690.
