Gen Bagheri: Iran reached maturity in manufacture of advanced aircraft engines

Tuesday, 18 May 2021 (YJC) _ The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces said that with the efforts of its committed specialists and scientists Iran has reached to a high level of maturity in manufacture of advanced aircraft engines.

Gen Bagheri: Iran reached maturity in manufacture of advanced aircraft enginesThe Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, visited the national engine production line at the Ministry of Defense's Aviation Industry Organization on Tuesday while accompanying Iranian Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami and Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh.

He briefed on the latest developments and achievements of the Ministry of Defense aviation industry experts in the field of aircraft engines and announced that “Iran has reached to a high level of maturity in manufacture of advanced aircraft engines.”

"Aircraft engines are one of the integral parts that few countries around the world are able to produce," he said while pointing to the significance of the engine as a vital issue in the field of aircraft and missiles.

Elsewhere in his remarks he praised the efforts of the committed experts and scientists and said due to their commitment “Iran has been able to enter the critical field of design and production of advanced aircraft engines.”

Finally, he noted “Increasing the country's defense power is a key component of strengthening.”
