Tuesday, 18 May 2021 (YJC) _ Iranian parliament members released a statement to stand against any damage to nuclear industry and emphasize the fact that the actual lifting of all sanctions is needed.

Iranian MPs: 100% of Sanctions Must Be Lifted, acceptance of some sanctions confirms their legitimacySome 200 Iranian lawmakers issued a statement on Tuesday on Vienna talks and stressed real lifting of all sanctions is the main condition for Iran's adherence to its nuclear commitments.

The following is the parts of the statement:

Simultaneously with the Vienna meetings, Iranian Parliament emphasizes the fact that Iran has not accepted any categorization of sanctions that would lead to maintaining part of the economic pressure on the Iranian people and preventing economic benefits,” the statement reads and while adding that “we seriously call for the complete and verifiable lifting of the US sanctions.”

“Iranian Parliament believes that if 100% of the sanctions are not lifted, no sanctions have been lifted and the acceptance of some sanctions will confirm the legitimacy of those sanctions,” they added.

Moreover, they referred to the Vienna talks and said they believe that the US and Europe do not yet have a serious will to lift all sanctions, and also are seeking a way to impose an agreement on Iran that would have more restrictions on nuclear activities and pave the way for regional and defense talks.

“Iranian Parliament will monitor this process with special care, based on Article 7 of the Law on "Strategic Action to Lift Sanctions and Protect the Interests of the Iranian Nation," the statement added.

“The Parliament will insist on preserving and protecting the achievements of the country's nuclear scientists, resist against any damage to the nuclear industry and emphasize the advancement of the nuclear program,” they said while pointing to the excessive demands of the United States and Western countries for technical advances in Iran's nuclear program.
