Friday, 14 May 2021 (YJC) _ NYC police announced that Three people were slashed and one punched in chain of attacks on subway train.
A man went on a slashing spree early Friday in Manhattan, attacking a trio of strangers along three different train stops, police said.
The violence began around 4:25 a.m. when a man sitting on a southbound 4 train was pushed by two strangers, cops said.
One of them displayed a knife and slashed him in the face.
The victim got off the train at the Union Square, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, cops said.
The suspects stayed on board — and the suspect with the knife then targeted a 40-year-old man, slashing him in the face, cops said. Another man, 41, was punched in the face, according to police.
Both victims got off at the Astor Place station. The attackers still remained on the train — and slashed a 44-year-old man in the head, police said.
That victim got off at the Brooklyn Bridge subway station and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, cops said.
None of the incidents were believed to be hate crimes, cops said. The suspects, both in their 30s, one with dreadlocks, are still on the loose.
