In a tweet on Thursday, Russian Mission Vienna released a statement from Sergey Ryabkov on US-Russia possible summit.
“S.Ryabkov on the possible #Putin-Biden summit: StrategicStability will, indeed, be on top of the agenda of this hypothetical meeting between the two leaders. But in order to have a productive conversation, it has to be thoroughly prepared,” the tweet reads.
Yesterday Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken agreed to hold talks on the sidelines of an Arctic Council meeting in Reykjavik next week.
The Russian foreign ministry said Lavrov and Blinken had spoken by phone and discussed international and bilateral ties and agreed to hold separate talks "on the sidelines" of the ministerial meeting of the Arctic Council on May 20.
