TEHRAN, YJC. Iran has moved one step upward in the International Volleyball Federation latest world rankings for men to take the 10th place.
According to the latest rankings by the FIVB, Iranian national team is still Asia's best team.
The ranking puts Iran above world heavyweights such as Cuba and France, Islamic Republic News Agency reports.
In the FIVB World Championship which was recently held in Poland, Iran advanced to the final round for the first time and finished sixth among the best teams of the world.
The top two in the world ranking stayed unchanged with Brazil and Russia remaining in the first and second spots respectively.
However, Poland climbed two steps upwards to take the third position.
Poland won the title at the 2014 FIVB World Championship.
