Tehran, YJC. Iran’s Chief of Police Esmail Ahamdi Moqaddam says instead of blocking websites, Iran’s cyberspace observation system must provide security.
Ahmadi Moqaddam who was speaking l to reporters in Ardabi on
Tuesday afternoon said "The Supreme Council of Cyberspace has provided grounds
for social networks to operate. Security issues have to be taken into account
as we expand the space.”
Asserting that the cyberspace has to come with immunity for
users, he said that it is an issue which the whole world considers.
Providing comments on police actions on the cyberspace he
said "The police takes action here as the guarding agent, whereby it will
consider criminal acts as well as preventive measures. I am not a fan of
blocking the websites, but security guidelines have to be observed.”
