Friday, 16 April 2021 (YJC)_ Moscow's US envoy is now at Russian FM for consultations after new US sanctions.
Russia's ambassador to Washington, who was called back to Moscow for consultations last month, arrived at the Russian foreign ministry on Friday, a day after the United States imposed sanctions on Moscow, the RIA news agency reported.
Yesterday U.S. imposed sanctions on Russia to target sovereign debt.
US President Joe Biden expanded the current bans for US banks on trading operations with the Russian government debt.
US imposed sanctions against 12 Russians and 20 entities over the alleged election meddling and the SolarWinds cyberattacks. The US also expelled 10 Russian diplomats from the country.
