Tuesday, 13 April 2021 (YJC)_ Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs announced that the country starts 60% Uranium enrichment.

Araghchi: Iran starts 60% Uranium enrichmentIn his remarks on Tuesday during JCPOA Joint Commission in Vienna Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Seyed Abbas Araghchi announced that the country starts 60% Uranium enrichment.

In a letter to the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran announced that it would begin 60% enrichment.

Previously, Iran’s permanent representative to Vienna-based international organizations Kazem Gharibabadi reacted to the recent sabotage of the Natanz enrichment facility and announced that “A new generation of machines will be installed in Natanz and several other technical measures will be announced this week.”

On Sunday the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi announced the incident and said it “took place in a part of the electricity distribution network of Shahid Ahmadi Roshan facility in Natanz.”
