At least six people, including children, have been injured in Manhattan after a car plowed onto a sidewalk and destroyed an outdoor dining structure following a crash.
The incident occurred just after 8.30am on Friday on 50th Street and 2nd Avenue.
The extent of the injuries is not yet known.
It is understood two cars were involved in a collision and one of the vehicles crashed into the outdoor dining structure.
One of the vehicles struck scaffolding on a nearby building and brought down a traffic light.
Footage from the scene shows debris from the outdoor dining structure strewn across the block.
