According to police, a landmine blast in the Somali capital targeted a local district commissioner in the second bomb explode in Mogadishu city.
Anadolu Agency quoted local police officer Abdifatah Hassan as saying that the roadside mine put a group carrying Ahmed Abdullahi Ariif as objective, the official of the Yaaqshiid district, while traveling to the Darusalam village area in Mogadishu.
He further stated that "As far as we know, commissioner Ariif and other officials in the convoy escaped unhurt but it is early to say how many people were killed or wounded."
This came after a similar roadside explosion in the capital that conducted a senior military official less than five hours earlier, killing three people of them two soldiers.
