Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani is to travel to Astrakhan on September 29 to attend the littoral states’ meeting on the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
The president’s visit will follow his trip to New York for the annual UN General Assembly.
The meeting is going to be the fourth gathering of the Caspian Sea littoral states pursuing a ratification of a comprehensive legal status for the world’s largest in-land body of water.
The countries’ previous meetings were held in Ashgabat in 2002, Tehran in 2007, and Baku in 2010.
