Saturday, 30 January 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian President said Iran is doing well in Covid-19 Battle in spite of US sanctions.
In his remarks during Saturday’s session of the National Coronavirus Combat and Prevention Headquarters, Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, said Iran is doing well in Covid-19 Battle in spite of US sanctions.
“Next Iranian year is the time our specialists are sure the domestic vaccine will be available and as you see, we have taken promising steps in the production of vaccine,” Rouhani said.
Referring to the cruel US sanctions against the country and the following impacts of it, the Iranian president said “being under the economic pressure by the former US administration is the very feature discriminates us from the rest of the world.”
“The previous US administration, through economic terrorism, challenged the purchase of, medical equipment and prevented Iran from receiving loans, while other countries did not have such problems,” Rouhani.
He went on to announce the fact that “Though the sanctions have restricted the Iranian researchers' access to the much-needed data, the Iranian scientists have managed to propel their plans significantly and the domestic vaccines will hopefully be available to people in the coming months.”
At the end of his remarks he urged continued adherence to the health protocols by the general public till the pandemic is fully contained.
