Key outside groups are calling on GOP leaders to condemn Greene—freshman Republican of Georgia—after a review of her Facebook page by CNN revealed highly disturbing content, including extremist ideology and calling for violence against prominent Democrats.
Greene, who has repeatedly come under fire for backing the QAnon far-right movement, has been found liking posts that said, “a bullet to the head would be quicker” than removing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and that “through removal or death, doesn't matter, as long as she [Pelosi] goes.”
Pelosi—a Democrat from California— warned Thursday that there was an “enemy” within Congress after Greene, a die-hard gun advocate, refused security screening at the House chamber.
Without referring to Greene by name, the top Democrat said, “We have members of Congress who want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members.”
Greene has also been caught red-handed responding to a Facebook post that suggested former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton must be hanged. "Stage is being set. Players are being put in place. We must be patient. This must be done perfectly or liberal judges would let them off," she commented on the post.
