Tehran, YJC. Supreme Leader advisor says the activities of regional terrorist groups provide alibis for the presence of ultra-regional forces such as the U.S. and Israel.

Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader and also head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expedience Discernment Council, speaking at the Islamic Scholars International Conference on Tuesday said "The Palestinian land is occupied. The basic rights of the Palestinian are brutally violated. They are deprived of the ability to return to their homes, where they are born and where is their mother land. The crime that is done to the innocent people of Palestine showcases a violence for the description of which the keyword apartheid has no weight.”

"If you thoroughly analyze things, it is made clear that there is a scheme by some Western countries, especially the U.S., and the Zionists in the region behind all the extremism that is done under the name of Islam. Those who invade Islamic countries and kill the innocent Muslims did not shoot a single bullet at the Zionists when Gaza was under attack by the Zionist regime. When you asked them they would respond it was not their mission,” he said.

Velayati added "It seems as though Islamic countries are the field for armed U.S. aircrafts. So, one of the results that they have gained by supporting extremists that have nothing to do with Islam or Muslims, is to enter other countries territories. So, these groups are in no way related to Islam, but are hireling of foreigners, in fact paving the way for the U.S. and the Zionists to interfere in Islamic countries and debase and weaken Islamic countries. So, this is part of a big scheme which has to be known and fought.”
