Sunday, 10 January 2021 (YJC) _More than 200 members of the Iranian parliament support production of Iranian Covid-19 vaccine.
More than 200 members of the Iranian parliament supported the production of Iranian Covid-19 vaccine by the country's Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO) and scientific and knowledge-based institutions.
The statement was read aloud in the Parliament's open session on Sunday.
"EIKO played a significant role under the direct command of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution during though times in which oppressive sanctions are applied to the country and European countries were not willing to give a helping hand in order to provide the country with facial masks.”
Then the statement continues as “from the earliest days of pandemic, EIKO started its activities in domains such as the production of health data-x-items including facial masks and disinfectants production of sanctioned drugs, production of medical equipment for respiratory patients, and immediate coronavirus test kits.”
“we as the representatives of the Iranian people, take the valuable achievement as the result of revolutionary management” it added.
At the end of the session the MPs noted the fact that “it is impossible to examine the safety, health, and efficacy of vaccines of American and British companies, therefore, the Iranian Parliament fully supports the order of the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in this regard and urges the administration to act accordingly.”
