Tehran, YJC. The IRGC commander has said that many regional countries are copying the example of Iran’s Basij.
The commander of the Islamic Republic Guard Corps Brigadier
General Mohammad Ali Jafari speaking at a conference in Isfahan said "The
recent regional battles such as those of Lebanon and Gaza were won thanks to
the lessons that were taken in the holy defense [Iran-Iraq war]. The resistance
goes on in some regional countries and it is taking shape in some others.”
He stated that the Basij has gone more powerful in both
terms of quality and quantity.
Today the role of the Basij against threats has grown more vital.
It has become conspicuous to the friends and the enemies of the system. Basij was
formed to cope with foreign assaults and a large number of its members are
there in the field, Jafari noted.
He adde3d "Threats are no more military. The enemies do not
dare launch a military attack on Iran, because they have got lesson from their
past against Iran.”
"The fear how they would be able to get out of the country
once the enter it. Today, enemies know that there is no war between
governments, but rather war between nations and occupying, affiliate
governments and their masters and agents.”
We have to know that many regional countries have been
trying for years to copy the example of the Basij.
