Tehran, YJC. Oil Minister has introduced Iran’s first oil products pre-sale package worth $100 million.
Iran’s Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said on Friday
that the country is willing to pre-sell its oil products.
Introducing Iran’s first oil products pre-sale package worth
$100 million he said that there is no limit for foreigners to pre-purchase the
oil products.
He added that the pre-sale of oil products will be carried
out through the stock market and it will be guaranteed by Iran’s Oil Ministry.
Zanganeh who was speaking with Mehr News Agency also pointed
to Iran’s progress in expanding the country’s shared gas and oil fields and
said "Right now the project to expand the South Pars fields has priority over the
expansion of Karun oil fields.”
He pointed out that as one cubic meter of gas is produced
one liter of gas oil or kerosene is saved on in power plants.
"Therefore, the governments current policy relies on gas,
where by increasing the capacity to produce gas, not only we gain environmental
benefits as pollutants are reduced, there arises the possibility of exporting the
extra oil products and make more money,” the oil minister stated.
